I don’t know how many times I’ve created one of these wordpress blogs…I can vouche for at least 4 of these things floating around for various reasons…

Now is a new start, this will be a temporary blog..potentially. Depending on the success of this project we’ll invest in an actual domain name. Those of you who I have sent the link will probably already know something about the project, it’s name, STIRFRI. I’ll give a short overview and then get back to my own little message.

StirFri

Stirfri will serve as the founding project of the Dream Syndicate. The Show will serve 2 purposes:

- First and foremost, the show will serve as an entertainment medium, bringing quality programing to anybody who is interested in watching.

-Secondly, Stirfri will serve as a venue for pilots of potential “stand-alone” projects produced by the Syndicate. The pilots would be seamlessly incorporated into normal stirfri episodes, and depending on the feedback, we’d go forward with creation of a new series, not under the “stirfri” umbrella, but still attached to the syndicate.

Premise

The concept of strifri is simple ‘Variety is the spice of life” . Stirfri will be a variety web seris. It will present the viewer with a rang e of shorts, skits, parodies, and sketches. These segments will largely be comedy in genre, but with growth we’d span out into more drama, action, and informative programming.

Ideally, StirFri would out out an ‘episode’ every Friday morning. The episodes would usually be formatted to present 3 segments, but this could vary depending on the length of the segment. In the end it will be our own rules we’ll be following; one week we might put out a normal, 3 segment episode, and another it might be a 1 segment block simply filming a meeting of the members. The only thing that we can ensure is quality control. What comes out of the syndicate will be of consistent quality, even if that means putting out the show a day late.

So, now we’re in preperation for production. Ideally, i’d like to get the first episode out by September 6. The episode length is designed so that filming can be confined to a day and editing confined to a day, it’ll be the initial planning that takes the most time…and of course, coming up with original ideas. So, I now put out an open call for anybody who has read my words and are interested in joining The Syndicate. Any talent you can bring to the table, music, editing, graphic design, acting, general knowledge, anything; we’re need of everything. Any role that hasn’t been filled, can be filled even if we don’t have someone with the expertise. In other words, even if nobody comes forward, the show will go on, but the more the merrier. Stay tuned for more updates, this project wont die like so many before it.

If nothing else, you can say you’re part of a Syndicate…and if you ask me, that’s kick-ass.
