//The Dream Syndicate//
Finding work when you’ve just finished university is hard, this is something that nobody (well…almost nobody) coming out of university would disagree with. You can’t get a job because you don’t have experience and you can’t get the experience because nobody will give you a job. A bonafied catch 22; the best kind. This is where the Dream Syndicate comes into play.
The Dream Syndicate will be comprised of students from all faculties who have a genuine interest in entering the media industry when they have completed their post-secondary education. The goal of the Syndicate is to create a mutually benificial situation for its members. The Syndicate will gain members with a variety of skills and talents that will help to make the Syndicate the best that it can be. Syndicate members will have a practical playground where they can exercise their talents and gain experience that can be used in the future. As well, there will be physical evidence of your work available for anybody to see.
Together combining the skills of its members, the Syndicate will strive to create quality web media with dreams of further growth. The Syndicate will operate under the philosophy of Mutually Assured Construction. This philosophy is derived from the military term Mutually Assured Destruction; where both sides maintain a semblance of peace, because any actions otherwise would assure the total destruction of both sides. In contrast, Mutually Assured Construction has the hopes of maintaining an equal balance of power between members and the Syndicate, because if we are able to bring our skills, and work together, we can accomplish anything.
That’s the theory at least…
We are a fresh organization, and are just starting are ongoing search for members. Anyone who can bring anything to the table, is free to come along for the ride.
The Unofficial Story
We’re a bunch of university students who get bored…alot. This is a way to pass the time, meet some new people, and make a helluva lot of good memories.
Simple, no?
